We Thank Thee O Tilley for an Escort

by Elder Yorgason ('94-'96)
sung to the tune of "We Thank Thee O God for a Prophet

We thank thee, O Tilley, for an Escort
To drive us to all of our meals
We are thankful for having transportation
To lighten our load with its wheels.
We're glad that it has a good heater
Warming hands when its 40 below
We know its a blessing to drive it
Our gratitude we'll always show.

When dark clouds and thunder hang o'er us
Pouring rain coming down from the sky.
There's a roof standing sturdily above us,
And we know that our brakes nor the seat belts,
They have saved us in days that are past
As long as we drive the care safely
It will run smooth and work well and last.

We'll sing with the radio and tape deck.
Playing songs that have all been approved.
It will only be used on our P-Days
And our spirits will greatly improve.
We're glad that we do not ride bikes here.
To brave wind, rain and sleet and the snow.
As long as we have our ol' Escorts
Such misery we'll never know.
