Matthew 24:14”
by Elder Fawson ('94-'96)
sung to the tune of "Jingle Bells"

Dashing through the snow on a dark and windy day
House to house we go knocking all the way
Chimes from doorbells ring but windows aren't too bright
We all love to do this work but no-one's home tonight
Its christmas eve, christmas eve and all we do is pros.
There all sitting 'round a fire while our nose gets caked with frost
Oh, christmas eve, christmas eve in the land of the midnight sun
Doors may slam and dogs may bite but gee this sure is fun

A day or two ago, we thought we'd take a ride
We tracted to this house, but no-one was inside
We went around the back, we know it sounds absurd
But you won't guess just what we saw, it was Santa and his reindeer herd

Oh, Santa Clause, Santa Clause, will you help us out tonight?
Just deliver all these books for us on your wonderfull Christmas flight.
Oh, house to house, house to house, we won't do that no more
'Cuz Santa Clause is goin' around to every single door

With tons and tons of books, we loaded up his sleigh
And the reindeer all took off and they were on their way
So prophecy was fulfilled contained in holy writ
Nations heard the word, and whatever rhymes with writ, yeah
Matthew twenty-four fourteen, it can happen Christmas Day
When Santa Clause comes around the world, it just might be that way
Oh, Matthew twenty-four fourteen and this is what it says
And the gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world
For a witness unto all nations

And then shall the end come, thank-you
