Elder Michael W. Wilcox Obituary 31 Jul 2017
Michael W. Wilcox was born August 28, 1958 in Palo Alto, California the son of Joel and Muriel Wilcox. He married Julie Ann Maloney June 24, 1983 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He was reared and educated in Lehi UT, graduating from BYU in 1986, with a degree in Electrical Engineering.

He lived in Palo Alto CA, Salt Lake City UT, Hunter UT, Lehi UT, Aurora Colorado, and Provo UT.

Michael worked as a Computer Programmer for Hewlett Packard. He worked as a Sales Representative for Apple Computer and Compaq. He then worked as a Regional Sales Representative over government and education for the state of Utah at HP. Michael and Julie owned and operated Total Health and Fitness.
Michael was an Eagle Scout, President of the Parent Senate for Cherry Creek Academy and taught 7 Habits of Highly Effective People classes. He tenaciously studied NLP to follow his passion by making a difference in people's lives.

Michael served a full time LDS mission in Anchorage Alaska. He taught Elders Quorum, Gospel Doctrine, and High Priests. Michael served as Elders Quorum President, High Counselor, Bishopric Counselor and Young Men President. He served as a Bishop of a BYU Freshman Ward.

He had the drive, passion and tenacity to be the best he could be at whatever he did. Michael was the number one baptizer in his mission. He loved and respected the restored gospel. He was the top sales person in the Western US at Apple, Compaq and HP.

Michael beat unbelievable odds to survive a brain infection. He was a man of faith ~ a man of strength ~ a man of love ~ and a man of understanding.
He was survived by his wife Julie; children, Kelli Ann Wilcox, Whitney (Chris) Snyder and Taylor Marie Wilcox.

Also surviving are two grandchildren; Zoey Marie Snyder and Roselyn Snyder. His parents, Joel and Muriel Wilcox and three siblings; Lance (Neil) Wilcox, Craig (Lisa) Wilcox and Dan (Michelle) Wilcox.

The viewing will be held Tuesday, August 1, 2017, from 9:30 to 10:30 at the Edgemont Stake Center ~ 303 West 3700 North Provo, UT.

His funeral services will be held immediately following the viewing at 11 am. The Burial will be at the Provo City Cemetery.
