David K. Udall to be president of the Asuncion Paraguay Temple 22 Jul 2008
David K Udall, 72, Mesa 25th Ward, Mesa Arizona Maricopa North Stake, called as president of the Asuncion Paraguay Temple, succeeding President Richard R. George. President Udall's wife, Wilda Louise Merrill Udall, will serve as temple matron. President Udall serves as a public affairs director in the greater Phoenix area. He previously served as president of the Argentina Buenos Aires North Mission, stake president, stake president's counselor and bishop. A retired attorney, he was born in Thatcher, Ariz., to Jesse Addison and Lela Lee Udall.
Sister Udall serves as ward choir director and Relief Society teacher. She served with her husband as he presided over the Argentina Buenos Aires North Mission, and has also served in a stake and ward Young Women presidency, as a family record extraction specialist and as a Cub Scout leader. She was born in Thatcher, Ariz., to Walter William and Wilda Arrilla Farley Merrill.
