On March 23, 2006, Rudy Mazzitelli passed away of pancreatic cancer. He was in his home in West Valley, Utah with his wife, children, and sister at his side. He wished to return to Argentina, but his health would not permit it. So his wife returned his body there to be buried. He is survived by his wife, Liliana, his daughter Dara (19), and his son Dario (18).
