Highlights from the reunion with Presidente y Hermana Hall on October 1, 2004.
We had a great time at the Hall's. President Hall shared with us some of the exciting news from the missionary work around the world, including updates on the areas affected by recent hurricanes. He also showed us the new missionary tool, "Preach My Gospel," and explained some of the changes that were coming to the missionary program. This new tool will replace the missionary guide, the gospel study program, the discussions as we knew them, and the mission rules. It contains helps for mission presidents to teach the missionaries. A few of them you may even recognize, such as the Christ Book of Mormon. What a great new gospel resource. We hear that it will be available for purchase in the distribution centers. We also got to see a new language learning program for the non-English speaking Elders, very similar to what we used in the mission.
Sister Hall shared with us her memories of working as Elder Neal A. Maxwell's secretary when he was at the University of Utah. Click here for her Vitaminas Misionales from the Reunion
Then, of course, we had to take pictures. As Hermana Hall went to get the camera, President said, "Was anyone surprised that she was going to take pictures?" The real question is, Does anyone know how many cameras Hermana Hall wore out on the mission?
Even without a line of 12-20 cameras waiting, we had a great time as Hermana proved she's still a shutter bug. We wanted to make sure you could get these pictures, even if you didn't have your camera at the reunion, so we've posted them here.
