| My best friend's son, James Urrutia, of the Santa Rosa, California Stake has just been called to the Neuquen Mission. His farewell is on Nov. 17th. I was surfing the web to find out more about Neuquen Argentina, and was pleased to see this site. I am especially thankful for the "what to bring" page. | No puedro creer la cantidad de gente que paso por mision neuquen, y lo que mas me sorprendio es el cambio que hubo en solo un par de anos. Yo vivi en Ushuaia, cuando empezamos las reuniones solo habian dos barrios y compartiamos una capilla, pero con el tiempo ya habia una casa que estaba siendo usada como una capilla para lo que mas tarde seria el barrio san Vicente, en ese tiempo los misioneros tenian la gran prueba de mantener limpia la pension, ya que ese era el centro de reunion, puedo recordar a cada uno de los misioneros que pasaron por alli. Elder buer, roockwood, washburn, newell,molina, waters, black, Brashear, marzo, wester, monje, petterson, cozen, davenport, lovinger, jhonson, ovejero, padilla, carrizo, elder brown entre muchisimos mas , se acuerdan de Presidente Huertas? un capo, no? Bueno si alguno de los que lee mi mensaje se acuerda de mi les cuento que estoy viviendo en Arizona, mesa, me case hace algunos meses con un ex misionero de la mision Ft Lauderdale. | Me gustaría avisarles de la quarta reuníon misional en el Este de los Estados. Ya que hay muchos de nosotros que viven en el este de los Estados quien no podemos viajar a Utah par reunirnos, estoy organizando la quarta reuníon misional en Columbus, Ohio. | Busco a un compañero viejo que se llama Jose Gimenez. Servimos junto en Buenos Aires-Norte en 1985. El era de Rosario. El es un mecánico del auto. En 1988 él era un presidente de quórum de Elderçs y enseñó también seminario. Creo que él vive todavía en estas fronteras. Su esposa se llama Adrianna y ellos tienen por lo menos dos niños. | Thanks to the webmasters. I had no idea we had a good website up and running until today. Just being able to see so many familiar names and look up some old friends is such a blessing to me. The mission was such a wonderful experience - to be doing something truly significant each day. Very hard, but so worthwhile, and I know that our labors will have eternal benefits for those who we taught and who stay firm in the faith. Perhaps we could organize a combined fast for those who we taught, that the Lord will help the active to stay strong and the inactive to return to what they found to be true. This could be a blessing to the current missionaries as well as the former missionaries and to the Church in the Patagonia. If the current mission leaders like the idea, they can send out a message with the date of the fast. Either way, I am so thankful to have served in the Argentina, Neuquen mission, under a president who taught me the value of hard work, and to have labored for and with the Lord of the vineyard in His cause. I would love to hear from anybody about the growth of the church in the Patagonia since 1995, or from those I worked with. |
