| Espero que alguien me pueda contestar ésto, quiero saber si hay misioneros que visiten el pueblo llamado EL Maitén, está a unos cuantos kilómetros de El Bolsón. Tengo una amiga viviendo allí y quisiera enviarle los misioneros, será ésto posible? Gracias. |

This is the most important letter of my life, as his mother, asking you to please take a few minutes to write just a few lines about Donny to help us get him out of prison on parole at the end of his three years. He has been there two years now. The attached letter from his parole lawyer explains needed information in the letters. He told Donny he needs 300 letters! We are depending on those who know and love Donny to come forward in his behalf and have our voices speak loudly, with the help and guidance of our Heavenly Father. EVERY LETTER COUNTS!! Please have each family member individually write a letter. If you can contact any friend or fellow missionary that might write a letter, we greatly appreciate it! For the benefit of those not aware of the tragedy in our family’s life, Donny was accused and arrested for crimes for which he is innocent. He was in the wrong place at the wrong time, with his best friend and his 16-yr-old brother. There was a fight to protect the younger brother, and Donny stopped the fight. If you know Donny, you know that he loves EVERYONE, red and yellow, black and white, gay or straight – none of this matters to him. He is a man of God, and he loves each and every person for himself. No one could believe this happened to a return missionary, who made the mistake of thinking he could trust everyone, even someone in need of a ride home. Donny had to plea bargain for guilty of aggravated assault (the man got a black eye by his friend’s fist). This was recommended by the lawyers, otherwise they might face LIFE in prison for a hate crime, if found guilty of everything accused. His plea bargain was for 6 years, but he has to serve 3 years before he can get parole (with the help of all his friends. He is in the Luther Unit of Navasota prison. He has been moved a number of times. Donny has never lost faith in Heavenly Father’s plan, and he continues his missionary work in prison. He studies the scriptures daily, and he has a “study group” at all times. Right now, he has 8 or 9 people studying the gospel with him. He has us send study materials to him and them. He believes he might have been in the “right” place at that time, because he never would have had the opportunity to teach these people in this very dark place. Donny is also a newlywed – he and Jamie got married just two short weeks before he had to go. Donny graduated from the University of Texas premed with a degree in Psychology, about when this all happened. Please pray for Donny & Jamie in their goal of being married in the temple and having their twelve kids one day! Being separated from his family is the most difficult for Donny, so we appreciate your help in getting our son home sooner! Please send your letter back in the self-addressed envelope sent with this letter. I am enclosing a copy of a pencil drawing of Jesus Christ that Donny did in the Mission Training Center before he went on his mission to Argentina. An email or letter either one will work.
