Comments:
I've been home ten years. How did that happen? I've been away from this site for a long time. I've had my share of obstacles. Things are looking better, though, and I am happy.

I guess we might have guessed this was coming, but a month ago, I was found to have type I diabetes. Yeah, childhood-onset diabetes, and they discovered it at age 31. They detected something in the MTC, but they told me that if I wanted to go through with the tests, and was found to be diabetic, they would reassign me. There was no way I wasn't going to Resistencia.
I said "I'll take care of myself and I'll be fine." And I was.

I don't work as a personal trainer anymore - that's what finally pushed my body far enough to recognize that my pancreas don't work. I gave up training and went back to massage.
I started my own business, Mike's Body Shop. I'm now contracting out of a chiropractic office - a massage therapist. I plan to expand my business to include personal training with massage. I'm not sure Utah Valley is the best place for that business venture, but for now, it works. Owning my own business and dealing with clientele isn't difficult, and I thank the mission for making that second nature to me.

I'm still single. I'm glad I didn't jump into a marriage before I was ready, my future wife and kids deserve better of me. I'm sure that if this is a test, I'm going to last and nothing is going to bring me down. I get back up when I fall, and one of these days I'm gonna fly.

The gospel is true and the Lord lives. I have seen the Lord work miracles in my life, and I expect He will again. I am grateful for your examples and I'm happy for the ways your lives have been blessed. Guardense fieles siempre hermanos.
