M. Scott Fisher

M. Scott Fisher 12/28/1964 ~ 4/3/2004 Scott was born December 28, 1964 in Long Beach, CA to David and Judith Fisher. He grew up in Redmond, Washington and died April 3, 2004 in a construction accident. He served in the Little Rock, Arkansas Mission and later graduated from BYU in Construction Management. Scott married his "Suzy Q" Suzanne Spratling May 7, 2000. Scott was known for his great sense of humor and fun-loving attitude. He was a friend to everyone and this born leader was an exceptionally hard worker. He loved any activity in the water especially Katarafting, building whatever he could with concrete, anything in the great outdoors, working on and fixing VW's, Diet Pepsi, working in the yard in his favorite shorts, and growing vegetables. Scott was everyone's favorite uncle. He loved all children and was especially excited for his soon-to-arrive daughter. Scott planted many trees near his home in Alpine. Many are in full bloom now, reminding everyone of his generosity and love of nature. Scott worked for Alder Construction and Evergreene Construction before venturing out on his own to pursue his love of "big boy toys" (large cranes and heavy equipment) and his creative talents in construction. In business, as in the rest of his life, he always cared very much for others and always thought about them first. Scott constantly found ways to touch and influence other people's lives: making them better, more creative, more exciting and always more fun. Scott is survived by his wife Suzanne and a baby daughter due in June, parents David and Judith, mother-in-law Myrna Spratling, father-in-law Ronald Spratling Jr., sisters Erin Aguirre (Lawrence) and Heather Budge (Richard), and many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, and cousins who all love Scott very much. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, April 6 from 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday, April 7 one hour prior to the funeral at Cottonwood Mortuary. Funeral services will be held on Wed., April 7 at 2:00 p.m. at Cottonwood Mortuary located at 4670 S. Highland Drive, Salt Lake City, UT. In lieu of flowers please send donations to Primary Children's Hospital.
