Reunion for All Presidents to be Held in Arkansas 23 Dec 2014
As many of you know the Louisiana Baton Rouge and Oklahoma Tulsa Missions were divided and the Arkansas Little Rock Mission was created on July 1, 1975 with Richard M. Richards being called as the first mission president.
This coming July will be the 40th anniversary of the creation of the mission and President Wakolo who is the current president wants to celebrate this special event. He is inviting all mission alumni to come back and celebrate with him. He has counseled with the area authority and the coordinating council and with their support he is organizing a three day reunion to be held from July 31 to August 2, 2015. The activities are not set in stone as of yet, but there will be a programs held in North Little Rock and Memphis. We will also have the opportunity to serve in the Memphis Temple too.
President Wakolo is asking us to also come back to see those who we have taught and baptize and go to the Temple together if possible. If your converts have gone less active, this would be a great time to go to their homes again and begin the process of “rescuing” them.
So with this all said, go ahead and “save the dates”. Further details will be announced in January. If you on Facebook, we will be creating a group page for this reunion in the near future. Now is the time to plan your vacations and make your airline reservations and most importantly, tell your friends! This will be a reunion to remember. If you have any questions, please email me or call me at 760 333-5988.
