This past week the current full time missionaries came across a gentleman named Leonard from Scotland who talked to and was apparently taught by Elders Sym Kobiak and an Elder Reynolds, he would like to know where the Elders are and what they are doing if any one out there knows how to contact them could you please give them this email address mntbom@gmail.com so I could help the current Elders. Thanks Matt Bohman

I just received the following message from President Jones:
"I am President Trevor D Jones, Stake President of the Sydney Australia Hyde Park Stake that is situated within the Sydney South Mission. The Stake has just published a 10 year history of the Stake between its formation in February 1997 and February 2007. The history contains many testimonies and photgrpahs of members and leaders past and present as well as many of the
coverts to the Church in the Stake over the past ten years (including all Mission Presidents who served between 1997 to date). Should any former missionary that served in the Hyde Park Stake like a copy please contact me."
You may contact President Jones with the "Send email" link on his profile page:

Hello all! just looking for advice on what i need to take into the field. How cold does it get there? Do I need sweaters or a winter coat? Oh..and something I have been wondering about...do people wear UGG boots often. I was thinking about taking some, but didn't know if I would stick out or if it would be appropriate. Also, does President McMaster have an e-mail? If not, what time of day is best to call there from the United States? (I'm Eastern Time)
Thanks!

Dear ASM Missionaries from 1985-1988,
Sister Tingey requests the pleasure of your company at the Australia Sydney Mission 20 year reunion. All missionaries who served during the Burton S. and Beverley D. Tingey era, and their families, are invited to attend.
Where: LDS Institute at the University of Utah
When: Sunday, October 7th, 2007
(General Conference Weekend)
Time: 6pm - 8pm
Dress: Sunday or nice business casual
We will be pleased to hear from Sister Tingey, and also anticipate the pleasure of having David and Jill in attendance at the reunion.
Please come prepared to introduce your family, give a brief update on your activities over the past 20 years, and share a memorable missionary experience. You are welcome to bring any missionary pictures, photo albums, or souvenirs you would like to display (this is a wonderful way to bring back many great memories).
Light refreshments will be served.
Please RSVP to Devon Hansen at ddevonhansen@yahoo.com or by calling 801-544-9758.
For those who are not able to attend (it is a long flight for many), please email a brief history and/or missionary experience you would like to have shared with the Tingey's and those in attendance. Now is also a great time for everyone to update their profile at www.mission.net so we can get reacquainted.
P.S. Please contact your companions and any other missionaries you keep in contact with to ensure they have received word of the reunion.

Hey everyone that served under President Elmer. I have two items that I wanted to talk about. The first is a mission reunion at general conference. Is that still going to happen? They told us as we were going home that it would, but I haven't heard anything about it. The second thing is that I just thought I would let you know that I'm engaged. I'll be married in December. See ya later

"His closest confidante, the fiercely protective US Marine Gabe Shumway describes him as inspirational, vulnerable, and deeply intuitive. Possessing a colossally dry wit, he is generous to a fault."
This biography is pretty funny

Kee Chan (ex-Summer Hill Ward member) sort of commissioned me to be his biographer on imdb.com, and his details are shaping up slowly (if their editors would work quicker...gosh!)...check it out:

Should have pix up soon for all you die hard 'Chan' fans out there. (we know you all are)

Hey,
I'm looking for people who knew 'Con' (Costatino) on their mission. Some call him the "eternal investigator" of the Summer Hill ward (Hyde Park Stake), but he's really coming around.
Also I'm looking for anyone who has any contact with Elders Kelcey Kemp and Ashton Holbrook (people he's mentioned that had a positive influence on him), and get them to write me a letter that I can give to Con, and ask if they'd be willing to open up a communication with him.
I really think if we can get this going, Con will really come around. Thanks!

First, please take our new Poll about the Chat page. Your input will be valuable as we decide what to do with it.
Second, please submit a recipe for the new Recipes page. We could especially use some recipes and Aussie cooking hints from the mothers of some of you Aussie Alumni.
Third, unfortunately, a small number of our users have been using the site inappropriately. Please review the Terms of Use, especially the Restricted Use section.
Thanks, and let me know what you would like to see on this site in the future to keep you better connected with your mission friends.
