| Ok..here's a story more funny than spritual..it's good. The Doonside Elders during this time (Me & Elder Strong) were having a tea appointment at a family's home with the Marayong Elders (Elder Ho Ching & Elder Martin) as well with the Blacktown Elders (Elder Carr & Elder Christensen) Well, we provided the food and the family would cook it..so we went and bought some chicken to be cooked...all was well. Elder Strong and I were with Elder Carr and Christensen and were riding our bikes on our way carrying the food over. We had Elder Strong carry the chicken and Carr and I were racing ahead. All of a sudden Elder Strong hit the sidewalk..eer footpath and I hear the bag rip open and all the chicken just fell on the sidewalk and street. Christensen following behind didn't know what had happened and was crusing by and ran over all the chicken with his bike grinding it into the footpath and later skidded to a stop. We all thought to ourselves "oh crap..." We didn't want to buy more chicken cause of our budget so we just threw it all back in the torn bag and headed on our way. When we arrived and it was all cooked all of us Elders were a bit hesitant to reach for the biggest pieces or even go for seconds at the time. We all looked at each other the whole time throughout dinner..wondering who was gonna take the first bite and all. Can't remember if we all ate out after that or not but it was pretty funny. |
