Stories: Out of Harm's Way

Displaying 1 - 1 of 1 -- Add Story

Out of Harm's Way 18 Oct 2002
Whilst serving in Taree with Elder Terry Kain, we were ridin our bicycles on the way to an appointment to share the gospel. Suddenly and without warning, the driver of a parked car opened his car door in front of me, creating a dangerous situation. I don't remember taking any drastic action and didn't think much of it at the time, however, Elder Kain (who was some distance in front of me) said later, that when he looked back, he saw the car door open, but that my bicycle seemed to significantly 'jump' sideways out of harms way.

LDS QUOTE:
"You are a great army of returned missionaries. Go forward with new zeal and determination, and through your example shine the light of the gospel in this troubled world. This is the Lord's work in which we are engaged. God lives. Jesus is the Christ. We belong to His Church. This is my witness to you in the name of Jesus Christ, amen."
-Elder L. Tom Perry
Ensign, Nov. 2001
