This email came to us and I forward it to this site in the chance that it might be forwarded to the Elders Johnson, Clayton, Hendricks and Andrews to which they are referring. I am sending a copy to Sister Perkins who made the inquiry on behalf of her son serving in Brasil currently.

This is so cool. Please keep us posted if and when the original Elders respond, and your son is able to help reconnect them. How fun!

Subject: [LDSmmUtah] looking for elders that served in Florianopolis Mission
Date: Monday, September 28, 2009, 12:08 AM
Hello -- earlier this past week my son that is serving in the Florianopolis, Brazil mission met some people that were taught by some missionaries about 5 years ago; these people
loved the missionaries but were not ready to be baptized at that time. My son and his companion are hoping that things will work out now. He wrote the following:
We taught them and a friend that was there and they want to be baptized, but they still have the problems with smoking. They remember about five years ago when elders had taught them before. They really enjoyed the elders.
So now hopefully the seed they planted will grow. SO if you happen to know a Johnson, Andrews, Clayton, or Hendricks that happened to serve in Itajai and teach a man Antonio
Salesio Borges Luz tell them to write me and I'll pass it on. They really miss them.
So I am passing along the message to see if anyone knows these Elders. It would be so great if these young men could reconnect and help with the conversion process.
I know that I remember people I taught on my mission after 25+ years and still pray that they will someday accept the gospel.
Thanks, Karen Perkins

"Vocês são um grande exército de ex-missionários. Prossigam com novo zelo e determinação e, por meio de seu exemplo, façam brilhar a luz do evangelho neste mundo atribulado. Esse é o trabalho do Senhor no qual estamos engajados. Deus vive. Jesus é o Cristo. Pertencemos à Sua Igreja. Esse é o testemunho que presto a vocês em nome de Jesus Cristo. Amém."
