Not much is new around here. I did start serving at the Jordan River Temple as an ordinance worker in Nov 2009. That has really been a neat experience. The night that I work they have a Spanish session, as well as Spanish initiatory and I have been learning all the Spanish for that. It is soooo similar to Portuguese that it really messed me up at first, but now my Spanish might be better than my Portuguese. I do love every chance that I get to help a Portuguese speaking sister at the veil. It brings back sooo many memories.
I love being the aunt to 4 nieces and 3 nephews - 7 of the cutest kids in the world. Too bad 6 of the 7 live out of state so I don't see them as often as I would like, but it could be worse.
I recently made the move back to the singles ward scene and am still working on my "Happily Ever After."
I am enjoying my singlehood, but I am ready to turn in the pros and cons of being single for the pros and cons of being married as soon as “he” comes along. |
