Comments: Charles M. Grant, 49, is a counselor in the Rexburg Idaho East Stake presidency.
He was born in Bancroft, Idaho, a son of Charles C. and Mabel Croney Grant. He married Patricia Gay Kendrick June 12, 1957 in Elko, Nev. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple. One of their four children will accompany them on their mission assignment.
President Grant received bachelor's and master's and doctorate degrees from the University of Utah. He worked for several years as a teacher and athletic coach at various Idaho and Utah high
schools before beginning his work as athletic director at Ricks College. He has served as bishop and as high councilor.
Sister Grant was born in Taylorsville, Ill., a daughter of Reedie E. and Audie Roe Kendrick. She has served as an officer and teacher in ward and stake Primary, Young Women and Relief Society organizations. [Church News--February 14, 1981, Mission Began--July 1, 1981] |
