Presidents: Douglas H Swenson (1995 - 1998) | Leslie Steward (1998 - 2000) | Served: 1997 - 1999 | Language(s) spoken:English | Areas Served: Whittier, Walnut, Chino, Hacienda Heights | Companions: Joseph Hylton | Gerod Jacob Jones | David Henry Moss | Steven G Symkoviak | Dylan W Tucker | Your Occupation: Editor | Spouse: Roselle | Comments: Here it goes. Since the mission, I finished Ricks College (two months before the announcement came it would turn into BYU-Idaho) and became involved in a summer stock theater in Garden Valley, Idaho. It was the maiden season. I left two weeks early so I could propose to my future wife (Roselle, I met her before my mission). I proposed to her at sunset at the Oakland Temple, overlooking the Bay. No, there was no fog over the Golden Gate! At BYU, something major happened at the end of every year: the first year, I got married; the second, we had a baby boy; the third, I graduated with a bachelor's in English, emphasis in editing. We moved to my hometown of Ashton, Idaho, living in my father's farmhouse until I found a job. I became a writer-photographer at the Rexburg Standard Journal (owned by the same company as the Logan newspaper). I took another job in Idaho Falls but got laid off from that for six months, until I had to move my family to the Treasure Valley (Boise area) to work as a contractor at HP, copyediting. This past May, I quit and got a job at Harris Publishing in Idaho Falls. They publish a list of magazines. I'm the editor of two them: Potato Grower magazine and Western Turf magazine. |

LDS QUOTE: |
"You are a great army of returned missionaries. Go forward with new zeal and determination, and through your example shine the light of the gospel in this troubled world. This is the Lord’s work in which we are engaged. God lives. Jesus is the Christ. We belong to His Church. This is my witness to you in the name of Jesus Christ, amen."
