One source says 1950, but that puts it as the same as when he served in the Korean Conflict. I had always under stood that he served at 28 which would be in 1955 and outside of Bro. MCConkie's service. |

It's not easy to serve and protect and be left on the ground dying for doing so.
In 1981, I was shot point blank and left to die as the assailant drove off with the police cruiser, turning on and off the emergency roof lights I believe signaling someone as he was leaving the crime scene.
I know the feeling of lying there helpless and hopeless but I survived only to get the booth for doing so.

My husband and I are looking for a missionary who helped us in 2005 in Long Beach the Los Alamitos area, he helped us with service for my husbands mother many many times. We want to find this missionary to express our gratitude to him for all of his service and hard work. His name is Elder Smith he was from Oklahoma. I would love to be able to contact the missionaries who taught me the Gospel in Van Nuys Ca. in 1966. I was baptized in Jan. 1967. My husband worked for the Los Angeles Police Dept.
Elder Robert O. Fitzsimmons was the district leader who interviewed me for baptism.
