President Lyle R. Peterson (1965-1968)

President Lyle R. Peterson was born at Hyrum, Utah on July 31, 1912. He was the son of Ray Andrew Peterson and Sylvia Allen. He was reared in Rigby, Idaho. His wife is Audra Peterson, a native of Rigby, Idaho. He was a building contractor in Rigby, Idaho starting in 1936. He built twelve meetinghouses and two seminary buildings and two additions to the Idaho Falls Temple, as well as many homes and commercial buildings. He served on the City Council for 12 years, was a charter member of the Rigby Rotary Club and served as its President. His church assignments have included, YMMIA Superintendent, Sunday School Superintendency, Elder's President, Stake Mission President, Member of the High Council, Bishop's Counselor of the Rigby 1st Ward for 9 years, Bishop of the Rigby fourth ward for 7 years.

Sister Peterson passed away on the 10th March 1999.
