Hi all, I'm currently working for the Cambodian Association of America in Long Beach, and I've recently received a request for interpreters in the Washington DC area. This would be primarily medical translation on a time to time basis. The Coltons and Le Fevres are going back to Cambodia (and Vietnam and Laos) in March. We wish we could take all of you with us. We leave on March 11th and return on March 28th, in time to be to our mission reunion, which location and date are not yet set. We will have a mission reunion in Cambodia and take pictures of all the missionaries there who served with us - and their wives and children. We will show these at our mission reunion in SL a day or two after we get back. We will be in Cambodia on March 24th, when the North and South Districts are having a combined program/talent show, so will be able to see many people at that time. On the following day we will have a fireside for the Vietnamese District. If you're in touch with people in Cambodia, please write to them and ask them to come to see us at any of the events where we will be. If you get this in time, write to us and remind us of the names of people you taught (make sure you give us enough details that we would recognize who you mean), especially ones whom President Colton baptized or to whose houses we went to help teach. Also remind us of men who were in branch presidencies and women who served as RS presidents. We find that we still have a memory for faces, facts about the people (where they worked or what they did) but we can't come up with the names. Hey everyone...I just wanted to tell you that I just started another chapter to the dream I have imagined all my life. I am getting married to a beautiful girl named Natalie Wilde from Sandy, UT. You know what we always said, "The harder you work, the prettier she'll be.." Well, I didn't know I worked so hard. We are getting married on November 18th in the Salt Lake temple. To ALL Mission Reunion Attendees: UVSC Institute parking is available free of charge and is located across the street, directly in front of the main entrance doors. It is a gated parking lot specifically for Institute patrons. I will try to have signs posted and will notify the attendant of our reunion. Parking there should be no problem. If however, you choose to park in any UVSC Visitor parking, toll booth fees apply. Please have cash on hand if you choose to park here. I will try to have signs posted in order to try and ease any confusion there may be in regards to parking and finding the location of the reunion itself. Can't wait to see you all! Garrett Soong |

YES.. YES.. I AM GETTING MARRIED! KIND OF WEIRD AND CRAZY THAT SOME GIRL DECIDED TO MARRY ME, BUT I'M HAPPY AND SO IS SHE.. WE ARE GETTING MARRIED IN THE SLC TEMPLE ON SEPTEMBER 14, 2006. HER NAME IS MARY ANN CAVANAUGH AND IS A LITTLE HOTTIE!! SHE IS QUITE SPIRITUAL AS WELL. WE WILL BE HAVING A RECEPTION THAT EVENING FROM 6-9P.M. AT WILLOW CREEK COUNTRY CLUB IN SANDY. To All Cambodia Phnom Penh Mission Alumni: A momentous event is in the planning for this coming fall 2006! As you may already know, President and Sister Towers will be returning home this July after serving 3 years in the BEST MISSION IN THE WORLD! We would like to welcome home our newest alumni, and also celebrate the achievements of our mission by organizing a COMBINED mission reunion to include the generations of President White, President Colton, and President Towers. For this "birthady" celebration, an informal committee has been formed to begin organizing details. However, we would like to solicit your ideas and suggestions for the program or any other activities you would like to see done, so that this will be an experience that will truly allow us to reflect back on our time in Cambodia. We would especially appreciate input from the Vietnamese speaking elders as well as those who served under President White. Please contact us via email if you have any suggestions. Your input will be greatly appreciated. Also, as a matter of inquiry, several suggestions have been made that we hold the reunion the Friday AFTER the October 2006 General Conference. Usually we hold it the Friday of General Conference, but traffic is often too congested and buildings are hard to reserve. Please let us know if this is a viable option. If you would like to participate in the planning for this reunion, please let us know by sending us an email. We look forward to hearing back from you soon!
