Although I served many years ago, I'm surprised holw many people are looking for me. I've had several people call asking if I'm the same Elder thornock that taught them so many years back.
Hopefully, this will help. There were three "Elder Thornocks" when I served; Sheldon, Nile, and myself. Unfortunately, Nile has passed away. Sheldon lives in the Ogden Utah area. I was the Origonal, coming out in February of 1973 with Elders Cameron, Holt, Hansen, and Young.
Then, it was just the Ontario Mission.
Within a few Months, the name changed to the Canada Toronto Mission. Ottawa, my second area, was made part of the Quebec mission soon after I left in November of 1973.
My companions were Elders Toombs, Thomas, Zaby, Parker, Frost, Smart, Williams,Romney,Fredlund,andMcDougal. I listed myself in this mission because only two of my areas would now be in the East mission, so more of the peoplepossibly looking for me would be in the west mission. |
