Comments:
Would like to hear from old companions that have served in the ABC mission.

Currently living in Folsom, California where Kris and I reside in state owned housing on the grounds of Folsom State Prison (Having moved from state housing at the Chino Prison, Kris refers to it as our "Little House on the Prison - the sequel"). We will be retiring September 3, 2010, after 36 years in Law Enforcement and most recently serving in Governor Schwarzegger's administration for the past 6 years as Warden of the Chino Prison and Director over California's Maximum Security Prisons.

We will be moving to our retirement home in Lehi, Utah mid-September - more news at 11 as the saga continues!

At present, we are very active in the Folsom II Ward where I serve in the Young Men's Presidency and Kris serves in the Primary.

We have 2 grown children and 4 not so grown grandchildren...all reside in Utah.

UPDATE: We have completed the move and are no longer citizens of California. We now reside in Lehi and are now finally near our family. It has been a great ride working for the people of the State of California but now it is time for family.

3/14/2012 - UPDATE ON THE UPDATE!! I now have the best missionary companion ever (not that Elder Halverson was bad, mind you :-), my wife and I are now serving a 23 month mission in the Cleveland Ohio Mission. We are assigned as site missionaries at the Historic Kirtland Visitors' Center - what a great place to serve!! Please stop in and see us on your tour of historic Church sites, we will be here until February 2014. The saga continues!
Boy, this is better than keeping a journal!! We have been home now for over a year and are looking forward to serving another mission in the near future! Now have 6 grandbabies and another Poulos boy on the way! Our son and his family reside in Carlsbad (yeah, we move to Utah and they move to So-Cal - wish we'd had known:-) Looks like Lehi will be our forever home - if you are ever in the neighborhood, please stop in and see us!!
