Comments: Chile Antofagasta was one of my missions, Peru Lima East being the first, and California Ventura being the third.
I arrived in Anto 6 months into my mission and proceeded to learn it doesn't matter where you serve, as long as you serve.
For those that remember me, I had to leave for medical reasons, and we'll leave it at that.
After a brief stint at home, something I do not recommend as a missionary, I returned to the field in California, but it was never the same. I am grateful for the time I had in Peru and Chile.
I returned to Virginia and decided to learn another foreign language by joining the Navy and becoming a Farsi (Iranian) linguist. After five years in the Middle East, I was not that crazy about languages anymore, so I became a network engineer, my current career.
I married my wife, Emilie, in the Washington DC temple in 1996 and we currently live in Bristow, VA. with our two children, Madeline, 5, and Jack, 3, and one on the way. |
