Though many years have gone by, still I would like to make note of the passing of a good friend from the mission field.
Elder Darin Webster Garner died in a rollover accident on the interstate I-15 in Utah returning from a Home Coming for friend on September 8, 1996.
He had only recently returned home himself from having served in the Antofagasta Chile Mission, primarily under President Spencer Jones from 1994 to 1996.
He was my companion for a short time in Pozo Almonte, Chile. In the short time I came to know him, we became good friends. He had a big heart and always wore a big smile on his face. I will always remember his energy and warm spirit and he helped keep my spirits up during some difficult times. He is sorely missed.
