hola queridos amigos, han pasado tantos varios años sin embargo en mi corazón,es como si hubiese sido ayer cuando serví mi misión, como recuerdo con nostalgia y amor a la promoción del 2000 al 2002, a mi querido pte. Chiquillos, con algunos ex-misioneros del tiempo del Pdte. Barrios (1990 - 1993) nos hemos puesto el desafio de poder organizar un gran reunion por los llamandola, tal vez, "20 AÑOS DESPUES", en la cual puedan estar presentes incluso amigos con Elder Torres que esta en Arica.
Si tienes algo que puedas compartir o idea a incorporar, hazla saber.

Dear Garcia Generation Missionaries:
I just got off the phone with the Garcia's and they said that they will not have time to come to this year's mission reunion. They both just have too many meetings to attend and there won't be time.
I'm also sad to say that between work, classes and other commitments I won't have time to put on a reunion all by myself. Perhaps someone else would like to do it this year.

I have been trying to find any information about President Arostegui for quite a while without any result. Does anyone know anything? I find difficult to believe that he has just disappeared. I would be very grateful to receive any lead. Thanks in advance.

We had a wonderful time last Friday evening! Tuvimos un beun tiempo! Thank you to all that attended and good food that was shared. Our group of "old" missionaries is growing and we all decided that the next mission reunion for those who served from 1977 thru 1982 will be the Friday evening before General Conference in October of this year. E-mail me if you are interested in attending and/or help with the planning. The next reunion is Friday, October 5th, 2007!!

Does anyone know about Hna Bustamante(Karen)?. She served during the time of President Arostegui. The last thing I heard from her was that she's married an American bloke and moved to Utah. If anyone knows anything give me a shout. Thanks.

OH..!! Como recuerdo aquella Navidad en Pichi-Pelluco, Pto Montt, cuando una querida familia compartió con nosotros su cena...Era cordero asado....el problema fué que, yo conocía al cordero(lo ví por una semana en la puerta de esa casa), y...no pude comer...me dió pena...Mi compañera era la Hna Conejera....En todo caso, lo que más recuerdo es el gran amor de las familias que nos acogieron....Gracias...aún les recuerdo....

RECORDADO PRESIDENTE SIGNORELLI: Estoy muy agradecida al señor por el tiempo en que fué mi presidente de Misión, recuerdo sus consejos y la nobleza con que escuchaba mis inquietudes....Está en un lugar muy importante de mi corazón junto a su tierna esposa....Ojalá nos reunamos con nuestra generación alguna vez...Sé que con sólo vernos nos llenaremos de fuerza para seguir adelante....

Dear Chile Osorno Mission Alumni:
It’s time to get the ball rolling for next year’s mission reunion. I have spoken with both presidents García and Lyon about this and what they want. If you can help with any of the following, please let me know.
1. President Lyon said that he would like us to have the reunion somewhere between Provo and Salt Lake. If any of you have access to a church building (ideally a double chapel/double cultural hall) somewhere between American Fork and West Valley please let me know. We’d like to book the whole building for the 30th of March, 2007 (6:00pm to 10:00pm).
2. Although he was totally happy to see everyone who came, I got the impression that President García seemed a little disappointed with our decorations/set up/food from last year. This is understandable since everything was thrown together at the last minute and was done poorly; hence the planning four months in advance. He expressed an interest in Chilean food in particular. Please let me know if you have any are interested in decorating and please start experimenting with traditional Chilean food i.e emapandas, pastel de choclo, alfajores etc. We are going to ask everyone to bring Chilean food to this reunion. I’ll ask for sign ups later on.
That’s all for now; I’ll get back to everyone with more details as we get closer to March. What we really need right now is to book the place so if you can find a place, please let me know. Thank you in advance for your help. Let’s make the reunion of 03/30/07 a night to remember!

Thank you to everyone who made the reunion a great success. It was bigger and better than we could have hoped. We had over 40 missionaries plus wives, husbands and kids. People flew in or drove from Washington, California, Nevada, Idaho, Oklahoma, Arizona, Wyoming, and of course, the president, from Chile. Despite only planning to stay an hour or two, President Barrios stayed for over three hours. He took a few minutes to address us and update us on his life and his family. The reunion began at 6:00 PM. Most people stayed until after 10:00. A group of 9 of us were up talking until 1:30 AM and the final 5 of us finally called it a night at 3:00 AM. During the reunion, people talked, laughed, told stories, ate, showed pictures and shared ma'te. Cano has already posted his pictures. Please post yours. We will post the big group photo as soon as possible. Again, thanks to all. It was an amazing night we will never forget. Mark your calendars now for October conference 2010.

Last year we had all talked about having a combined mission reunion for all of us who served under presidents Lyon and/or García. We need to get on the ball and start planning since all of the best places are reserved quickly. Please contact me if you are interested helping with the organizing of the reunions.

I've contacted Rulon Robinson. He is trying to clear his weekend to come down from Blackfoot Idaho. I got ahold of Rich Bunderson's mother. He is a special FBI agent, living in Texas, and will be shipped off to Puerto Rico. He won't be able to join us. Has anyone heard anything on Jeff Cook?! Last I knew he was at BYU, but that was years ago.

Last chance to get your old buddies out to the reunion! Speaking of chance, has anyone gotten ahold of Chance Smith? What about Jim Smith? I have been in contact with Steve Smith. Who else are we missing for this reunion??? Here is your challenge (I'm using the missionary commitment pattern) Will you call at least one of your mission friends tonight? Search the web, the phonebook, call their parents, do whatever it takes! I know there are still people we can get there. As a reminder, we still have resources for flights, rides, lodging, etc. NO ONE should miss this reunion because of finances. Barring any major problems, this is the last message we will post about the reunion. Again, please check the map. We are east of State Street. We can't wait to see you there!

Tebbs might be able to show up to the reunion. He said he would do what he could to be there. Paul Goodrich also stated he would try to come to the reunion. Does anybody know where Aubrey Bernard, Luc Nguyen, or Larry Turner are at these days?

We have just received word that Presidente Barrios will attend the reunion. Please tell any old friends that were on the fence about coming. This is a great opportunity to see El Presidente. He will most likely only be able to stay for a couple of hours so be sure not to be too late. Thank Ian Hasegawa for getting ahold of the President to make this happen. The Presidente Barrios reunion is less than two weeks away. Truman and I have had a great time planning it. Now we need your help! In the past few days we have reconnected with several missionaries that had not been on the site nor had heard about the reunion. We need everyone there. You may know someone we don't. Google old companions, track them down, get them to the reunion. This includes anyone who served under President Barrios. No excuses. We have resources. We can still help with flights, rides and lodging. Let us know what we can do to help. We have a huge group coming. It will be a blast! NOTE***Please be sure to check the map on the website.
