Spiders 07 Aug 2006
While waiting for someone to answer the door (or, frequently, not answer it), we would often play with the spiders that spun tiny funnel-webs in the crack around the door. If you took your pen and tapped the end of it on the edge of the web, within a few seconds a spider, shiny black and usually larger then you expected, would suddenly leap out and grab your pen. Those things were strong! They were found at least from Temuco to Puerto Montt.
