Brent D. Larsen, age 66 of Lehi, died October 19, 2012 at his home of cancer. He was born September 21, 1946 in Salt Lake City, Utah, son of Orr I and Mildred Myers Larsen. He married Linda LaVonne Schoenfeld September 4, 1970 in the Salt Lake LDS temple. He was an Eagle Scout and served in the Chilean Mission. Brent graduated from Hillcrest High School, BYU, and later earned a master’s degree in education. He was an educator at Lehi High School for 22 years, touching the lives of hundreds of students. He also owned and operated Larsen Floors. He was a faithful member of the LDS church serving in three bishoprics and other church callings. He is survived by his wife Linda, their seven children: Shalayne (Chris) Price; Sarah (Marcelo) Martins; Chad (ShaLisa) Larsen; Trent (Carlie) Larsen; Shannon (Nick) Russell; Spencer (Aubree) Larsen; Susannah (Daniel) Flitton. He is also survived by 20 beloved grandchildren, sister Annette (Mel) Davis. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Greg Larsen. He loved fishing, fly tying, hunting, sports, coaching, gardening, and above all, being with his family. Together they constructed two of their family homes. He was an extremely hard worker and spent his life going about quietly doing good for others. A viewing will be held Friday, October 26th at Wing Mortuary, 118 East Main, Lehi, from 6-8 pm. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 12:00 noon at the Lehi 17th Ward Chapel (1631 E 900 N) with a family viewing from 10:30-11:30 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the “Brent Larsen Fund” (LHS scholarship) at the Bank of American Fork. Interment, Lehi City Cemetery. Online guest book at www.wingmortuary.com.
