Obituary - Warren Patrick Clarke 20 Nov 2012
Warren Patrick Clarke passed away in a tragic plane crash near Fresno, California. Born in Rexburg, Idaho to D. Ronald and Louise Porter Clarke, he was raised in Clarkston, Utah and graduated in 1963 from North Cache High School in Richmond, Utah. He was a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Chile from 1964 to 1966. He served in both the Utah and Nebraska National Guard. Patrick married Lana Hansen in the Logan LDS Temple on December 27, 1967.

He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Beau Clarke; brother, Tom Clarke; sister-in-law, Pamela Clarke. He was joined in death by his son, Scott Clarke. He is survived by his wife, Lana Clarke; children: Todd Patrick Clarke (Heather), daughter-in-law Veronica Clarke, Eric Clarke (Jill), Jennie Nielsen (Brian), Brett Clarke (Annie); grandchildren: Kelsie, Bailee, McKenzie, T. Brooks, Alex Patrick, Cooper Scott, Eric, Rachel, Ellie, Reese Patrick, Leah, Amy, Meg, Brock, Ty Patrick, Dax, and Emelia; brothers: David Clarke (Raelene), Arthur Clarke, Merlin Clarke (Betsy); sister, Mary Louise Barker (Peter); sister-in-law, Pat Clarke; many nieces and nephews.

Patrick began serving in the financial services industry as a Stockbroker in 1972 after graduating from Brigham Young University with a business degree. In 1975 he started a Financial Planning firm in Omaha, Nebraska. This led to the formation of CLS Investments, and later NorthStar Financial Services, which currently employs over 400 people.

He devoted his life to his family and his faith, serving in many capacities including Scout Leader, Branch President, and Bishop in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was an ambitious entrepreneur and a mentor to many. His life is a remarkable example of hard work, devotion, optimism and generosity. He will be deeply missed by all.

The family will receive friends Friday, November 16, 6 PM to 8 PM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 14680 California St., Omaha, NE Joint funeral services will be held for Patrick and his son Scott on Saturday, November 17 at 10am at the same location. Private Interment, Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

Memorials are suggested to Boy Scouts of America Mid-America Council.
