Greetings! This message is to all the missionaries who served with President and Sister Ong. As you may well know, President and Sister Ong will e coming back from serving in Hong Kong soon. One of their sons, Jared, wants to put a DVD slideshow together. The Chinese Branch that President Ong was Branch President for years ago in Los Angeles wants to have a reunion for their homecoming in Orange County on Saturday, August 19th. We are all invited to come, honor and celebrate with them. Most likely, it will be in a chapel in Costa Mesa, CA on a Saturday night. It could also be a church dress event because Jared will call upon two returned missionaries to give a talk about serving in Hong Kong with President and Sister Ong. To close the meeting, Jared wants to show the DVD slideshow.
Here is where we come in. This is what Jared has in mind. He wants memorable pictures so the audience, ourselves, and President and Sister Ong will feel the spirit of gratitude and the marvelous work and wonder we were apart of in Hong Kong. The pictures can be of us while we were serving in Hong Kong. They can be of us after we served in Hong Kong. They can be pictures of Hong Kong buildings and chapels or the uniqueness of its scenery. They can also be of special moments with friends, members, investigators and family that we have had with President and Sister Ong. These are just a couple of ideas that would bring smiles to our faces. So, lets dust off the Hong Kong picture box or open the computer file of Hong Kong pictures, and search through them to find the ones that you would like to point out and have on the DVD slideshow. Now, there are no guarantees your pictures will be on the slideshow, but at least you put forth the effort and that's what counts. Maybe they could be on the slideshow that we do for the mission reunion before October General Conference? Anyways, Jared wants to make this a special present for his parents. So please, please participate and send us your pictures, but not too many.
