Recently Elder Nick Whatcott and his family were dealt a heavy blow as their son, Cole, who was only 6 days old, passed away. With such a tradegy as losing their little newborn Cole, not only are they left with a void in their family but with a large medical debt that insurance will not cover. His family has set up a fund at America First Credit Union in Cole's name and they are asking anyone who would like to donate to this fund to join them and show Nick and Janessa how much we love them by helping ease them of this debt and burden. Please send donations to P.O. Box 95795 South Jordan, UT 84095 or directly to any America First Credit Union. They have also set up an online Charitable account for anyone out of state or who would like to donate with a credit card at www.realitycharity.com/colewhatcott . Elder Whatcott was a great missionary and is an even greater man. I know times are tough for many of us, but every little bit helps. | Does anyone know of a way to get some current news from the mission? With all of the recent hurricanes hitting the Caribbean I am anxious to find a source for information on how things are down there from the perspective of someone who lives there, namely someone in the mission. I would love to get some sort of an update on how the missionaries and members are fairing from time to time, even if it was just a small statement. Especially during hurricane season as far as if the missionaries have been evacuated from their areas or if there were any disasters. Anyway, if someone know of a news outlet like this please let me know. I look at Listin Diario but I am always left wanting there. Thanks. (I would translate this but I am out of time, sorry, maybe later) | |

President Jamison's wife, Mary Ann Wood Jamison, will serve as temple matron. He is executive secretary for the Europe West Area; former Dominican Republic Santo Domingo West Mission president, temple ordinance worker and bishop. Retired professor of mathematics at Brigham Young University. Born in Venice, Calif., to Clarence Edward and Kate Shaw Jamison. Sister Jamison, senior couple missionary in the Europe West Area, is a former member of the Primary General Board, stake Relief Society president and counselor, counselor in a ward Relief Society and Young Women presidency. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Merrill Edward and Edna May Hepworth Wood. |
