Fellows: Some have reported ¨confusion¨ on our meeting to be held on july 17th, 2004 (saturday) with Elder Stone. It appears to be that wasn´t clear enought if it´s going to be next year or this year, so it´s very important to know that we´re going to be together within TWO MONTHS, so don´t be wrong about it. Estimados amigos misionales: La presente es para invitar a todos los misioneros regresados del período misional del presidente David R. Stone y su esposa a asistir a una reunion especial que celebraremos el sábado 17 de julio del 2004 a las 4:00pm en el Hotel Jaragua. Invitamos de manera especial a aquellos misioneros regresados que viven actualmente en las misiones Santiago y Este, pues hemos planeado la reunión a un horario que les permita regresar a sus hogares el mismo dia sin problemas. Es posible que tambien celebremos una charla fogonera, tal como en los viejos tiempos, con el presidente como charlista y estaremos haciendo los arreglos de lugar para informarles. Es importante que todos avisen a los demás a quienes puedan contactar que hayan servido durante este tiempo a fin de que puedan estar presentes. Dear friends: We announce that on next july 17th we´ll be holding a special meeting with Elder David Stone (President Stone). This is going to be carried out in the Jaragua Hotel at 4pm that day. Dominican missionaries who served during his period are specially invited to be there (including those who live in the north or east mission) and US missionaries are welcome as well. Message from his daughter Angela: This June my Dad - David Rodger Stone - is celebrating the 50 years since his arrival in the United States. Our family is getting together in July to celebrate this special occasion. I would like to put together a book with comments from the people that are special to him, which includes those who served with him in the Dominican Republic. I'd like to collect your comments on my dad; this can be your favorite memory, anecdote, character trait, photo, etc. - whatever you would like to contribute to the book.
