I just returned to the D.R. last week after a thirteen- year absence. About seven times as many cars and much more polution. But, the people are as great as ever. We went on a business trip so stayed in Playa Dorada, but I did get to go through Navarrete and Moca, as well as the Capital again. The first thing I saw when we drove into Navarrete was the beautiful chapel. It was such an emotional experience for me. I opened up that town with Hermana Janette Brothers and Elders Steineker (not sure on the spelling) and Blotter. We went into the house at 16 de Agosto #2, which was where we Sisters lived and where we held our Church meetings. It's a dental clinic now and our bedroom and the kitchen are part of a different house. The patio on the side is another house, and the streets are paved throughout. If anyone reading this was in the D.R. from 1983 to 1984 and remembers me, Hna. Dunn, drop me a line. The Coombs are in the Temple Presidency for the Oakland Temple. My sister is in their Ward - Pres. Coombs was my Stake Pres. before he was called to preside over our Mission. Best of wishes to all fellow returned-missionaries.
