My brother Ben went to Santo Domingo. The people there are really nice if you take the time to get to know them. The only advice I can give you is that you use your spanish wisely, and help the people with their problems and you will have no trouble at all. Don't be discureged if you get turned down just try again. There are some hurricans and the roofs of the houses may come off because, they are just scraps of metal. If you help people put their houses back together you will have life long friends. I assure you that you will come home with a ton of fond memories and you will want to go there again. I know that when I went to pick up my brother the people thought of him as a brother. None of them wanted him to leave. So if you go and do the lords work he will surly be on your side. Go do the right thing.
