hello as far as I know the Temple Dedication will be in june if everything stay in course, bOy! it seems like forever....LOL
I'm dominican have been living in WA state for 9 years almost and I have to tell you one of the things I miss the most is the warmth and friendly people...everyone says hi and hugs some older ladies used to do that to the elders when the church was very knew over there and people din't know the rules....LOL
The church is growing lots and members are very helpfull when it comes to finding contacs,I notice the difference here big time, I attend a spanish ward because I felt very lonely and left out in the English ones sad but true and since my Hubby Knows spanish also we though will be better to keep up with the language also.
I left some tips on other post, you have a great mission just remember you are representing Jesus Christ and do your best to serve the people...we are a bit Proud sometimes.....you might see people who live in a very poor home and yet comes out of there decked out with gold jewelry, dominicans like to look good and wealthy no matter what...LOL,hey watch out with the girls and please don't judge them because they way they dress you'll understand what I mean once you get there......one thing I wish Elders will stop doing is calling the girls "snake" it seems that they are told that little but very offensive word the minute they arrive...now will Jesus do that? set a good example and whenever you are in a bad situacion just think...What will Jesus do?
