It is great.. I hope everyone can make it. here is some additional information

Dear friends,
The First Presidency has officially announced the dedication of the Santo Domingo Temple to be in 4 sessions on Sunday, September 17th 2000. It is great to have this set as an official date. What a great blessing this is. It is exciting to see this achievement after 20 years!
Many of the returned missionaries are planning on staying at the Jaragua Renasance (sp?) Hotel on George Washington Blvd (next door to the Melia Santo Domingo - the former Sheraton). The Jaragua is a Marriott facility. We hope this will work as a gathering place and a place for former missionaries and friends to meet and to assemble. We would encourage those who can to make reservations at the Jaragua. (My cousin who served in DR says they have "the best breakfast bar on the Island!" I hope he is right.
We expect that there will be activities or get togethers each of the several days during the week prior to the dedication. Several things have been discussed, but nothing has yet been formailized. Some things that have been thrown out have included a fireside, a day at the beach, a get together at the Piantini Chapel, maybe a morningside at the Mirador where the Island was origninally dedicated by Elder Ballard, Etc. We are open to suggestions. We are coordinating with Ferner Bodden in Santo Domingo.
For those missionaries who served with President Millet and President Davis (Dominican Republic - Pre-Split) there will be a meeting/get together at Brad Fellows home in Sandy, UT on Sunday August 20th at 7:00 PM. If you can come please send a note to Brad Fellows at doctorvard@aol.com and let him know whether you can come or not.
Dedication tickets are available through the area Temple Committee. More informatation will be forth coming on this. However, Ferner Bodden has offered to help us coordinate a joint group effort to get temple dedication tickets if we can give to him the following information as soon as possible:
Please email to me the following information. I will assemble it tommorrow and forward it to Ferner:
Name of person who will attend the dedication (anyone over 8 yrs old who has been baptised, can attend)
Name, Address, and phone of bishop
Ward Name and Unit #
Stake Name and Unit #
Please send this information today if possible.
Any questions ? email at mort@gatekeepers.com or kevin@irg-idg.com or hm phone 801-298-0234 or wk phone 801-994-8402 or cell 801-580-4455 or fax 801-994-3518. Any of these numbers will work. Please write, call or fax.
I hope this information is helpful.
