As a software professional, I think anyone who does not believe there is a threat doesn't understand the power of the 'Net, and the dark side of mankind. Although a password and Id would be great, in the meantime, perhaps if we see a request for somone we know, we just let them know they are being sought, direct them to the list, and let them decide if they will post their personal information here. You always have the option to respond to them privately.
This is a great place to find old comps, and I have loved it for that. But IMHO we should be very careful.
