Shortly after returning home I moved to Southampton. There I married Sue and we had 4 boys and 2 girls. After 18 years there doing central heating and plumbing we moved to Lancashire. Soon after that I went to university got a degree and became a secondary school teacher. We have lived in Leyland for 8 years, just 10 minutes from the Preston Temple, where I serve part-time as assistant recorder. After 18 years teaching I am one year from retirement and looking forward to more time at the Temple, time with our 14 + grandchildren (twins coming next month), and my new occupation - writing fiction.
I have served in many different capacities and been greatly blessed in doing so. 3 sons and one daughter have served missions. 4 children are Temple-married. We all live close and are happy spending time with each other.
The Gospel is as true as it ever was but I know it more surely now. Life is a great teacher. |
