Married my District Leader, Elder Vowles, in August 1996 and consequently moved from Billingham, England to Utah. Have one child (Jared) who is 4 years old. Work as a Microbiologist at Davis Hospital in Layton, Utah. Recently built a home in Syracuse, Utah. We've just moved into a new ward - no church callings yet.

It's been a few years since I last updated our information on this site. We're still living in Syracuse but may be moving before too long. We have a new arrival to report - Luke Thomas Vowles joined our home through the miracle of adoption in July 2005. Our son Jared is now 8 years old and was recently baptized. We also recently had the privilege of being able to take Luke to the Temple to be sealed to us. Apart from our new addition, we don't have much more news to report besides more grey hairs! I am in the Relief Society presidency and Mike is in the High Priest's Group Leadership. It is a very young ward where I am one of the oldest members! Mike is still working in commercial real estate appraisal and I work a few days a month in Microbiology. Would love to hear from any former companions or mission acquaintances. I have been told by the Brits that I speak with a strong American accent now. However, although after almost 10 years in the US, I am somewhat americanised, I still miss the homeland and have fond memories of my time in the ELSM. |
