What a treat to hear the announcement of the Ft. Lauderdale, Florida Temple. I remember being in the Homestead ward when the bishop told the members that he had seen a time when there would be a temple in Southern Florida. He advised them to prepare their families and friends with such a vision for he future. I was touched to here the fulfilling of this prophecy or vision. I can't wait to see what the vision will be for this temple.

President Jerry McCleary passed away on January 9, 2009 with his wife and his children by his side in Salt Lake City. President McCleary served as Mission President from July 1993-July 1996 and then later as Mission President for the Johannesburg South Africa MTC. The viewing will be held on Tuesday January 13th from 6:00-9:00 pm at Goff Mortuary (8090 S. State St., Midvale, UT) and the Memorial Service will be on Wednesday January 14th at 11:00 am at the stake center located at 7035 S. Nutree Dr. in Salt Lake City.

after reading all these messages, i realize what an old timer i am. if anyone has any info about the miami 2nd,4th or hialeah 1st wards,coral springs ward or okeechobee branch or any missionaries that served in those places in that time frame, please sing out! i'm interested in many of the members of those places also.
