What a great idea! Many thanks to those that are so inovative and considerate. Just found the web because one of our former missionaries alerted us.
I am the first President of the FJM. Sister DeHaan and I arrived at the mission when there was no office set up, a mission home just finished, but with no furniture or refrigeration (and it was in the middle of the summer.) We were assigned some missionaries from the former mission, some from the Tampa Mission and more from the MTC. We started with about 135 missionaries in total and had just over 40 baptisms the first month. We ended up with just over 2,000 convert baptisms during our 3 years. These were truly great years for us but hard, hard work. We visited the mission last when President Keith Hansen was there (We knew he and wife Carol well before he was called). Let's hear from you!
