Bergerac 30 Jul 2004
It's been a while since I was in the fabulous city of Bergerac. Does anyone know how things are there lately? Expecially what has become of the Passerieux, Lacombe, Mendez and Boukeroui families? It was my first and most memorable area but I've been terrible at keeping in touch.

Finding people in France... 29 Jul 2004
What is the best way to find people?

I am looking for Sr. Jacas whom I served with in Bordeaux in 1993. She is from the Marseille area.

I am also looking for Damien Chateigne whom I taught and baptized in Blois in 1994, last I heard he was living in Toulouse.

I am planning a trip to France in the fall and I would love to see these 2 people. Any ideas on how to find them, or do any of you know where they are?

Thanks,
Sheridan

Auch 26 Jul 2004
Back to the Auch comments , yeah i loved that place , spent quite a while there lol must have been 5 months i think !!! Started there after 6 amazing months in Poitiers. As my man Spencer said we had 4 in the appartment to begin with , Seal and Carlton were there too, we had a blast and worked hard too!! Then me and Seal lost our comps and ended up together by ourselves in a big 4 man flat !! After that i thought must be time for me to go but no !! i became a trainer to Elder Stovall , man his simpsons impressions were hilarious :) You can tell even after 4 years how much i miss France and some of the best friendships you can ever make. Hopefully be able to see some of those people again soon.

Poitiers 21 Jul 2004
I won't guarantee La Grade Rue apartment is still there... I left it Dec 2000... so the parisites may have killed it (yeah I went to Toulouse). But I liked it (and the abandoned other half of the building...) Nadine had been inactive (except for the "soiree familiale pour lest pas tellement jeunes) for what I understood had been quite some time and came back while I was there. She was very outgoing and loved throwing crepe fetes (very tasty). It seemed she just hadn't felt very welcome anymore. The soeurs also said something about health problems that were going much better.

Wow they still use the appartment in La Grande Rue. It was me and Swenson that found that appartment and were the first to move in after moving from the Buxerolles area. So glad to hear the appartment is going strong!! Yep i loved Poitiers , i miss the Ducroqs and Manu Raquin, if anyone ever sees them tell them Elder Glanville or William to the Ducroqs says hi , they'll know who you mean :)

Poitiers toujours... 21 Jul 2004
Since we're talking about Poitiers..does anybody know whatever happened to the Picard family? They were baptised in 1995 and they had (at that time) 5 kids i think. the oldest one, Luigi should be about 18 now!
and what about Nadine Roussel? and the Bezier family? are they still there ?
does any of you have their contact infos?
if so please can you send them to me via this site ? thanks !

Oh what a gorgeous city, especially during the winter. The centre ville is alive with shopping and the hustle of French living. The chapel has moved from centre ville to an actual chapel to the north of town, near the sisters apt. The members as well as the non members are wonderful. I would love to get back in contact with Pascal Baskins and the Family Badawi. When Matt Barclay gets to Poiters, if you have email please try to find these two and any others and send email information or new contact information. Thanks

I'd like to start off by saying that Poiters (at least centre-ville) is goegeous during the Christmas season. It has a pietonne area totally un-matched by any other city its size. My apartment was centre ville (La Grande Rue). In my oppinion the only down side to centre ville is if you have a car parking can be a pain and if you don't then groceries can be a hassle.

There is a family with 2 children (i think) 3 and 10 months approx. (I just called them two weeks ago but I have a terrible memory). They are Olivier&Celine Coudin (unfortunately they live a little out of town.... they are just awesome)
Pascal is also a neat fellow to talk to, but unless he has another child... his would be about 7 or 8 by now.
The descoubez family had two girls but they are older (12 and 10 maybe)

Many of the people I knew have moved away including the old branch president, but when I was there the branch (with a few exceptions) was a pretty tight family. And even though our biggest turnout was almost 50, I felt is was a much stronger branch than the ward in Pau where I think the smallest turnout was over a hundred.

Anyways I need to stop because this is getting long and I'm getting more jealous with every word.

Soit singe, John Piepgrass
