The Foucher Family and the Karsenty Family have not replied to letters in quite some time. Does anyone have updates on these folks. Also, I am trying to locate Christian Livet. Has anyone heard of his whereabouts or how he is doing? Any input would be great!

I hope the rest of you don't mind us talking about Auch so much... but there are a lot of nice pictures from there on this site, for anyone not fortunate enough to have ever seen it!
We still had the GREAT appartment at 8 rue Gambetta, right across from the bank, two doors up from la post around the corner from the gare routiere and with a viw of town hall.
As far as I know Auch was not closed between 1996 and 2001, especially since we had the same appartment. It was a four-man for a while (kinda crazy since a pair of dedicated missionaries can pretty much tract the place out in 3 months....

In December of 1996, Elder Wilkerson and I opened up Auch for the first time since the 60s or 70s. Apparantly, there was a flood in Auch back then and the missionaries impressed many townsfolk with the help they gave. There might have been missionaries in between 1996 and the 60s/70s, but I was unable to find out about any while I was there.
Anyway, in 1996, Olivier Cazaux was the only member in Auch, at that time being a sub-branch out of toulouse. We had a very large apartment (for two elders) right next to the main square across the street from the bank. Was that the same apartment? I heard that the city was closed before 2000, but I would like to know if I was mistaken.
Anyway, thanks for the info. I too, after some time there, came to love Auch.

Some people hated Auch, but I just loved it. So let me tell you a tale...
Auch was my second ville in early spring 2000. At that time there were 3 members (although a guy I know in Calgary was there between us and only knows one of them and she was a new member...
Phillippe Cadoux
Olivier Cazaux
Genevieve Pulicani
our members were part of the Agen branch (even though our hymn books and chairs said toulouse....because of toulouse going to the marseilles mission)
The same transfer as my last transfer (to Agen) (March 2001) Auch was closed. Agen had just got a "chapel", and the old "chapel" (about "au tapis vert") became a beautiful 4-man apartment, and one of us transferred up from Auch (Danny Korver), but I don't remember who his companion was.
In agen, since Auch was part of our branch it was part of our area, and I made sure that it was in my quartier and returned as often as possible, especially in the first few months while we still had the appartment....
Phil is living in a tiny town halfway to Toulouse, and very lonely. His number is 05.62.07.29.03
Olivier was branch president in Agen last I knew... but that may have been before the new stake was created
Sr Poulicani has been less active since a little before I arrived the first time

I'm looking for more information on what happened in Auch. Specifically, when (and if) it was closed, by who, and the status of any members there.

I got home in 2002 and Cyril was living back with his parents (he had just gotten divorced). I heard a rumor that he is now living in Perpignan. I know the entire Hennebique family was struggling to stay active except for Cyril's mom.

Cyril was living in Biarritz (Bayonne) when I was there in '97. You might try the missionaries there.

I have an unofficial french translation of Come thou fount of every blessing that a sister missionary did for the choir in La Rochelle. If you want a copy let me know.
