Well, I'm not getting married... but I am going on a trip back to France in August. I'm going to be renting a car and probably staying in youth hostels for the most part. Dear friends,
As the subject indicates, I'm engaged. Details:
Girl: Lisa Sawyer
First date: March 21st 2002
Wedding date: August 16th 2002
Proposal: May 28th 2002 - In front of the castle at Disneyland
Story:
Lisa lives about 10 houses down the street and I've known her for almost 10 years. Her older brother Ryan is my best friend, and the Sawyers are like a second family to me. Lisa and I started dating a couple months ago and things have been falling into place ever since. We recently started talking seriously about marriage, and I thought it would be special to her if I proposed at Disneyland when I tagged along with the Sawyer's family vacation. The first night (Tuesday) we all met at the castle near 7pm (her family was in on it), and I took her aside stating I wanted to take her photo in front of the castle. One thing lead to another, and soon I was on my knee putting a ring on her finger. The crowd clapped and cheered as Lisa and I embraced. I believe the Sawyers got some pictures and home video footage of the whole thing.
Of course all of you are invited to the reception: Friday, August 16th, 7pm here in Antelope, CA. If you think you'll attend just email me for directions.
