Mission Reunion 05 Apr 2006
I was just wondering if there were any former missionaries here in Alberta that are planning on heading down to Utah for the Cuenot reunion on May 6th. If so please contact me and perhaps we can arrange a carpool

New Convert 03 Apr 2006
Hi everyone. It's been a while since I've posted anything here, but I had an awesome experience that I wanted all of you to share in. I'm currently serving as a ward missionary (since 12/03). Our most recent convert is a perfect example of how the church is supposed to operate. For more than 3 yrs members have been friendshipping this man. Hometeachers and visiting teachers have been over regularly (wife was less active). And primary has taken care to invite children when appropriate. 3-4 months ago, primary asked if the daughter was going to be baptized. We (his hometeachers/ward missionaries) prayed and planned and invited her to be baptized and for dad (non-member) to prepare to perform the ordinance. He accepted her invite, but declined his own. We were sad, but continued on. Next month's hometeaching message provoked some questions from him and as we pondered on what to bring the following month in response, the Spirit directed us to invite him to be taught by the missionaries. So we prepared a lesson and committed him to be taught and to our joy, he accepted. And then one lesson after another, we watched the very faithful and bold missionaries bring the Spirit into his life. He felt it, recognized it, and committed to follow. One month later, he was baptized then confirmed. Today, though very fresh, he has a testimony of his own. He believes in Jesus Christ and that this is His church. He is now preparing to baptize his own daughter in July! He brings with him to church each week his wife (now active member), his two daughters, and Mother-in-Law (disabled active member). I am still amazed because I was there when he told us he wasn't interested in going to church or any of that. The Holy Spirit is amazing to me. How His touch can cause someone to change so dramatically is awesome! Never underestimate His influence. Preach the truth pure and simple. And be bold about it!

upcoming reunion 01 Apr 2006
Hey everyone,
Many of you have received an evite for the upcoming reunion, so you have all of the details. Those of you who have updated or created your profiles recently, however, may not have received an invitation. If you would like an invitation with further details, map, etc., please email me at penguinerrol@yahoo.com. I will add your name to the evite list. Thanks. Hope to see you all there.

Reunion 29 Mar 2006
I just logged on for the first time in a few years and read about the upcoming reunion. I've e-mailed President Cuenot to ask for details, but would love to know who among my old compatriots is going to be attending. Also, does anyone have contact info for Trent Brown or Chad Pack? I'd really like to get back in touch with them. Thanks!

Temple in France 22 Mar 2006
Every member in France has heard this. A very attractive title like "Mormons bought Versailles"! was circulating on french radios. It created some excitement among the members and my e-mail was flooded with enthusiastic announcements.
However, and as far as I know, only the Prophet can announce the project of building a temple, not a journalist or the people in charge of communication in the Church in France. So let's be very careful about this.
Anyway, it if so be, it will take some time before the beginning of building a temple in front the Versailles castle. Especially, with the french administration in charge of historical buildings and all the building rules in this area.

Other news : Brother Didier Verrieras is doing much better. His recovery is "miraculous" as doctors said.
