Temple in France 22 Mar 2006
Every member in France has heard this. A very attractive title like "Mormons bought Versailles"! was circulating on french radios. It created some excitement among the members and my e-mail was flooded with enthusiastic announcements.
However, and as far as I know, only the Prophet can announce the project of building a temple, not a journalist or the people in charge of communication in the Church in France. So let's be very careful about this.
Anyway, it if so be, it will take some time before the beginning of building a temple in front the Versailles castle. Especially, with the french administration in charge of historical buildings and all the building rules in this area.

Other news : Brother Didier Verrieras is doing much better. His recovery is "miraculous" as doctors said.

Il est Jesus-Christ in Utah 21 Mar 2006
I wanted to let everyone know that there will be a performance of "Il est Jesus-Christ" in Provo, UT on Wednesday, March 29 at 8pm. It will be at the Provo Tabernacle on the corner of Center St. and University Ave. in Provo.

The performance is free and will include a 40-piece orchestra, 100-voice choir and some pretty spectacular soloists. I'll be conducting the performance. It'll be in English, so bring your friends and family too.

I'd love to see everyone there. And if you come, make sure to stick around to say hi after the performance. Email me if you have any questions: rob@spiremusic.org.

Hope to see you there.

Gael Yonnet 09 Mar 2006
Some of you may know Gael Yonnet, as he is from Bordeaux. He graduated from BYU and is in his 4th year of med school at U of Utah. Last weekend, while competing in a snowboarding competition at Snowbird, he had an accident and has been paralyzed from the waist down.

I have compiled links to news articles and some biographical information as well as how to make a financial contribution to help Gael. If you're interested please go to www.dailymoos.blogspot.com

Gael, our thoughts and prayers are with you!

He is Jesus Christ 08 Feb 2006
So, I'm at intstitute here in calgary one night, ross kirkpatrick is 3 seats down from me, we are practicing a song from or called He is Jesus Christ, the tune sounded so familiar, then I look at the top right, there is a name, "Rob Garnder" And I said, "man that sounds familiar" Then it all came to me, "my goodness this is "Il est Jesus Christ" in English!! Rob, thank you for making the English translation, too bad we don't have you playing the piano here or singing, and Elder Wilson auditioning for the part as a Pharisee, however Adam is quite good at the piano and I'm sure we will find some good Pharisees. I think I have an alright voice, but not as good as Wilson or Rob, I've never had lessons. Anyways, I thought I would tell everybody about this, we are now performing this musical in Calgary!

'Il Est Jesus Christ' CD 14 Jan 2006
Some time ago my vehicle was broken into and my CDs were stolen. Among them was my 'Il Est Jesus Christ' CD. So, I am asking if anyone out there has one that I can buy? I have a cassette somewhere in my mission souvenirs, but the CD is much better quality. Je vous remercie tous.

Re: Mission Tapes 13 Jan 2006
Re: Mission Tapes

Do we just have the coolest missionaries or what? You answered to the call of getting me the mission tapes in MP3 format. I even received the “blue tape” which I didn’t even know existed. I’ve posted the blue, red, and green tapes in MP3 format to my company download site: http://www.offspringtech.com/downloads.phtml

The files are at the bottom of the page. They are compressed zip files which need to be unzipped after downloading them to your computer. The quality isn’t bad considering it came from a cassette tape. I can only leave them there for a week or so. Please download them A.S.A.P. If you have any problems, call me 801-224-5585 or email jason@offspringtech.com .

I’ve listened to these several times and love them. In fact, as I listened to them the first time after all these years, I got a little emotional. I hope you enjoy them and feel the wonderful spirit that this music brings. We had a great mission because of all of you wonderful people that I served with. Thanks for helping me with this. Je suis encore fier d'être la Mission Française de Bordeaux. Allons!

Jean-Pierre Schacher 11 Jan 2006
I looked up JP in the www.pagesjaune.com several times. I got one where there is a Sebastapol address. That looks familiar. I contacted the webmaster for the site and I got this: HAUT RHIN (68)

Schacher Jean-Pierre
10 r Clemenceau 68400 RIEDISHEIM

I dont know how much is correct.
