What a tremendous gift it was in my life to have such amazing parents. Pure dedication to our Father in Heaven throughout their lives. They both truly endured to the end.
How blessed I was as a young teenager to accompany them while they served in the Dusseldorf Mission. It was such a blessing and an experience that changed my life.
I still have contact with my companions and feel that they are my sisters. They taught me how to work hard, have faith and to be dedicated to the work. I loved serving with two hard working companions, Sister Russon (Forstner) and Sister Payne(Hicken) in Bonn during my short term mission.
My testimony was formed during those spiritual Zone and District conferences I attended. It has prepared me for every calling I have served in.
To all those who treated the Poecker toechters with such respect and kindness.....THANK YOU. We respected you so much and learned a great deal from seeing your desire to be the best missionaries in Europe.
The office staff should get a gold medal for their patience with us. We were always coming up with crazy antics.
It was an amazing experience.
*** Just a side note.... I just married my longtime friend Klaus-Peter Piotrowski (from Solingen,Germany) in December 2012. We are living in the Bern Stake in Switzerland and attend the Biel Ward. Klaus works in the office of the Swiss Temple. If any of you are visiting Switzerland or the temple please give us a call. We would love to have the chance to see you again.
