After too many years of not being able to decide what to do with the rest of my life and earning too many degrees so I can provide tech support and do word processing for a public defense law firm, I started yet another degree program in Library and Information Science - and hopefully this will do the trick.
In the meantime, for the past eleven years I've been the organist at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Everett, Washington and have been privileged to play on a wonderful instrument. But despite the aesthetic values, something is definitely missing, something which becomes very apparent to me when I attend our services -- where the organ doesn't begin to compare, the spoken word isn't nearly as polished, and the chapel isn't nearly as beautiful - but, the doctrine taught has true depth, and the Spirit is present.
We are hoping to relocate in the next few years and end up a bit closer to SLC so we can attend a reunion at some point. I have so many fond memories from my time in the mission, and would love to see you all again. |
