Comments: Harold W. Bodon became President of the LDS Haiti, Port-au-Prince Mission after replacing Fritzner A. Joseph in July 1996, after attending the conference for new mission presidents at the Missionary Training Center in Provo, UT.Harold W. Bodon has taught both French and German for the past 35 years, both on the high school level and on the university level at Missouri Southern College. President Bodon has also coached soccer for the past 24 years, hence he is uniquely suited to service in Haiti. He and his wife, Sonja--a medical secretary for the past 25 years-- were both born in Europe (Germany and Switzerland), and he has studied in California and Utah. |
