Although Jared is Canadian and his mission was submitted from our Canadian Stake (Calgary North Stake) he actually lived with us in Cuba, as his father is on work assignment here.
I know having had the opportunity to see the church at its infancy here in Cuba has made a lasting impression on him.
Before leaving Cuba, he had converted his boxing coach and his family. Armando and Maritza have now began the process of converting their friends Lisbeth and Alejandro, and we are so blessed to see Jared's work come to fruition - Even more exciting is to know he continues with the same happy spirit that has always seeing him through challenging times. He will be part of two more baptisms this coming Saturday. What a great time to be serving the Lord. |
